Baptism

A Public Declaration of Faith and New Life in Christ

Baptism is one of the sacred ordinances of the Christian faith — a beautiful act of obedience and devotion that symbolizes a believer’s decision to follow Jesus Christ.

It is an outward expression of an inward transformation — a public declaration that you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and that your old life has been washed away as you rise into new life in Him.

The Biblical Foundation

Even Jesus Himself was baptized, showing us that this sacred act is both a step of faith and a fulfillment of righteousness.
The Bible also reminds us:
“But John tried to deter him, saying, ‘I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?’
Jesus replied, ‘Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.’ Then John consented.”
Matthew 3:14–15 (NIV)
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved…”
— Mark 16:15–16 (NIV)
Our Belief

At The Heart of a Servant Church and Ministries, we believe baptism is an important step for every believer who has made a personal decision to follow Christ.

We honor the biblical teaching that a person should be old enough to understand what baptism represents — the forgiveness of sins, the washing away of the old self, and the commitment to live a new life guided by the Holy Spirit.

Preparing for Baptism

Before baptism, we invite you to participate in a short baptism class or conversation with one of our ministry leaders. This time allows you to understand the meaning of baptism, ask questions, and prepare spiritually for this important moment in your walk with Christ.
